Mussel steamed with a sauce of your choice, served with sourdough bread.


Farmed rope grown Scottish mussels - Molluscs - Mytilus edulis

Sourdough bread: WHEAT flour, water, RYE flour, WHEAT semolina, salt, yeast, stabiliser E412, pre-gelatinised WHEAT flour, vegetable oil rapeseed, WHEAT malt flour, sugar, BARLEY malt extract, emulsifier E472e, acidity regulator E170. May contain traces of egg, milk, sesame seeds, soya.

Keep refrigerated. The mussels must be alive before cooking.

Fact: Mussels that are open before cooking are most likely still alive. Give them a tap either with your finger or on the side of a bowl and wait for the shell to close up. If the shell does not close after tapping, then discard. Myth: You should throw away any mussel that does not open after being cooked.
